And as soon as I start talking about my friend AGA, I hear a whisper in my headphone and I was like, I kept talking for a second and then I stopped. And I was like, did you just say something? And he's like, no And I'm like, are you sure you didn't say anything? And he was like, I swear, I didn't say anything. So I was like, uh, I swear, I just heard something

[00:02:32] Marcus: That thing was crazy. That's when we had that crazy picture where I'm like trying to kick the dolls,

[00:02:37] Juwan: That's where you first learned how to punt that

[00:02:38] Marcus: that's actually where I mastered the art of punting ghost babies.

I mean, I really, I really put in some good strong work, you know,

SD Synth Theremin.wav - OUT

[00:02:48] Dalen: But I don't want to go down that rabbit hole anymore. Cause I was just going to ask, like, do you practice punting, ghost babies? Do you practice on real babies?

[00:02:55] Marcus: well, you know, th there's

[00:02:56] Juwan: the hours

[00:02:57] Marcus: those, it depends on how old the baby is. You know what I'm saying?

[00:03:00] Dalen: They were punt punting age. So may look, man. You've heard all of my stories about my grandmother's house, where, like I said, me touching dead bodies apparitions and doors slamming and all the creepy dolls that she had. now y'all know your boy got a little girl now, man, actually.

[00:03:19] Marcus: she's a baby

[00:03:19] Dalen: Yeah, she is. She is, but my wife is starting to like buy her dolls I'm just like

[00:03:27] Marcus: you say like,

[00:03:28] Juwan: I

[00:03:29] Marcus: can't bring work home, baby.

[00:03:31] Juwan: let me tell her, let me tell it. Stacy dolls are a lot, I mean, it's expensive to right Dalen?, we're also talking about really

creepy

[00:03:40] Marcus: you know, how many random dogs we have for Nova right that she don't, that got just dust on them, just dusty. They ain't going to, and they ain't going to appreciate, I know they ain't gonna appreciate

[00:03:54] Dalen: There's a real word for the fear of dolls.

SD String Theremin.wav IN

[00:03:58] Marcus: What Dolly phobia,

[00:04:00] Dalen: You know what I thought it was dolla phobia too.

[00:04:01] Marcus: doll-a phobia is definitely

[00:04:03] Dalen: it

So the word. P D O phobia

[00:04:27] Juwan: for real though,

It's known and it's actually known that sometimes spirits live within dolls or they're possessed or cursed with some demon. She type, she yummy.

[00:04:44] Marcus: well, back to a PDO phobia, you know, or the fear of dolls as humans.

You don't y'all don't know about them.

[00:05:31] Dalen: Tell me about,

SD Bass.wav IN

[00:05:32] Marcus: Okay. it dates back to the early a young boy, Eugene Robert Otto given by a servant that worked for his parents.

But Eugene was, you know, 10 years old, you know, woke to find Robert, the doll sitting at the end of his bed, staring at Like, I'm just talking about then moments later, mother to hear him for help. sounds of furniture being overturned

[00:06:02] Dalen: Wait whoa, wait, Eugene got his ass whooped by

[00:06:05] Marcus: man, Robert was whooping. This is why I pumped maybes. This is why I pumped. This is exactly why.

Ghost babies, doll babies. And if a baby keeps not my baby, but a couple of times I was like, oh,

[00:06:21] Dalen: I know, but you got close.

[00:06:23] Marcus: nah, listen, I've been doing this for quite a long time.

These ghost babies been getting punted, but I'm talking about the Chico's over there. Right? And she hears you Jeanne crying, begging for help. You know, mommy, mommy, she goes to the door is locked. She saw.

Curled up because you know, mama's on play that she, she, she borrowed down that door.

Boom. She saw Eugene curled up in fear in his room

[00:06:51] Dalen: because he just got out by

[00:07:01] Marcus: had his hands, he had his hands up, like, what you going to do? What you're going to do.

[00:07:04] Juwan: but he's barefoot

[00:07:06] Marcus: had nothing to do with this. And the story, you know, is pretty influential. You know, it's like pretty much the most creepy as doll story of all time, bro. You know what I'm saying?

[00:07:15] Dalen: I, I, I'll be honest with you, man. I mean, I feel like I can speak on stuff like this now being a parent, you know, I've always wanted to say that me being a parent, how I feel about

[00:07:26] Marcus: this

what about being a parent,

[00:07:27] Juwan: your credibility that

[00:07:28] Dalen: being a parent, if my child got their ass whipped by a doll,

'cause I'm like, damn, you can't defend

[00:07:37] Marcus: Because that goes back

[00:07:38] Juwan: what happened. Okay. I got one for

[00:07:39] Dalen: that goes back into your

[00:07:40] Juwan: What happened if you get your ass whipped by a doll in front of your child?

[00:07:44] Dalen: Okay. So listen, listen, listen. If I ever get my ass up for her Axel, she would never respect me as a man or as her father.

[00:07:52] Marcus: especially by no doll

[00:07:53] Juwan: not by no doll.

JM: What we do wanna hear on this podcast is you! Here is a creepy story from Marie Jackson in Missouri

SD - Ghost Brothers Transition 1.wav OUT

Marie Jackson [00:00:00]: I want to share the story of the haunting along the road in Kansas City, Missouri. And this happened back in the late eighties. It was ten of us, a mom and dad and eight siblings. We had just relocated to the house from the inner city and we needed more space. So we we moved into this home and we hadn't been in our home maybe a few days. And we were already experiencing things similar to what you would see on television. Siblings getting levitated in the air and tossed across the room. Items getting shifted around the house. Things falling out of the cabinet. Dark shadows appearing. We had so many experiences in this house, and I eventually started to dig deeper into what we were experiencing and come to find out we weren't the only family that went through the traumatic, physical, emotional experiences that took place in that house. Several, several dozen other families that live there and went through what we went through. So I wanted to share my story about the black family that went through the severe haunting in Kansas City. [00:00:00][0.0]

[00:09:13] Juwan: what'd you about to say Dalen

[00:09:15] Dalen: That sounded awful like the movie, the country, like she read that from the back of the CD case,

[00:09:22] Juwan: it sounded really good though.

[00:09:23] Marcus: it from the back of the CD case. You, you think I could tell what somebody gets. We don't had a couple of people guessing. Oh yeah. And then this happened too. She had a little bit too many details. It was too precise.

[00:09:36] Dalen: her, her and her eight siblings

[00:09:38] Marcus: a lot of

[00:09:39] Dalen: moved out to a farm house in Connecticut.

[00:09:42] Marcus: Connecticut has a lot of farm houses.

[00:09:46] Juwan: we've been to a few, actually

[00:09:47] Dalen: brothers and sisters started levitating in the room.

[00:09:50] Marcus: Now I've, I've heard it's a trend over there in Connecticut. They have a lot of families live a tape

[00:09:55] Dalen: Her sister, Angela paren was in the, of.

[00:10:02] Juwan: No, Honestly, she like, she told that story so good though. I was listening to him like this don't sound like the beginning of R and B track to y'all. I was like, Sounded like an interlude.

[00:10:13] Dalen: Juwan is it's because you've seen that movie before

[00:10:16] Juwan: Is that what it is?

[00:10:17] Dalen: it won an award.

[00:10:19] Juwan: I felt like it was the intro what was it, Tom? Why? Cause he was like, I'll watch TV till TV. turned off. Lenny Williams

[00:10:27] Marcus: off at the television turned

[00:10:29] Juwan: television, turned off.

Marcus And I'm back with Angela y'all. Hello, Angela. You're an actress comedian, a podcast host, ghost stories with Angela. You're a cast member of our family wedding and Alvin and the chipmunk. and many more great movies she's been in everything. Like you've been in everything like. your comedy work covers, like observational comedy, surreal comedy satire. And I just want to welcome to the show

Marcus: How are you my love?

[00:08:29] Anjelah: I'm good. I'm I'm, I'm here in LA. Um, it's a beautiful day outside so I,can see, cause I haven't really been out there yet, but it looks pretty.

[00:08:39] Marcus: Tell me about this creepy podcast that you got, these ghost stories, like, you know, we got it to the space, also, Mike Little, you know, we wanted to kind of let our voice be heard.

How'd you even get into the space of this like ghost stories.

[00:08:52] Anjelah: So I grew up loving all things, paranormal, scary movies, um, haunted houses, all the things. I was the girl that like, you know, we'd spend the night at grandma's house and I would stay up extra late to watch a scary movie after everybody went to sleep. And then it was that like that creepy walked down the dark hallway to get back to your room.

That was like the scarier than the movie was the dark walk back down the hallway

[00:09:22] Marcus: you already know my, my grandma had a hallway like that and we had a cat named Tinkerbell scratch the crap out of my ex. When I tell you scared me for the rest of my life, I thought it was a demon. I didn't know who it was. A cat. Same thing. Go ahead and keep going. Keep going. So you walk, you're walking down this hallway and stuff.

[00:09:40] Anjelah: So I, yeah, I grew up loving the haunted paranormal things. So the podcast came out of 2020 quarantine when you know, everybody's at home and I was like, I'm going to go live on Instagram. sit around the fire. And I'm going to go live with fans who have scary stories and I'm just going to hear their scary stories.

And so that's how it started. I would go live with lag one celebrity guests. They would tell me their story. And then I would just pick people at random on the Instagram live, who would have a story for me. And so that's kind of how it started. Then it grew bigger than it became a podcast. And, what's interesting with that is I kind of been on hiatus with it cause I had a creepy thing happened? and okay. So.

[00:10:27] Marcus: You want to say space you're in a safe space. Just me and you talking.

[00:10:31] Anjelah: I I've been waiting to come back until I can guarantee that I have like a producer or somebody to be with me in the studio, because a lot of times I was by myself and I was like, okay, I can't do that anymore. And I've been going back and forth from Nashville to LA. So I'm like, let me wait until I have like a set schedule and then I'll bring the podcast back on when I know I can have somebody with me.So that's, that's why it's been a hiatus, but this is what happened. So, , I'm in the back studio in Nashville and that day that I'm doing the podcast, I'm starting to realize, oh shoot, my husband's not home.I'm going to be by myself. Which means I, I have to walk from my house. Talk about the creepy hallway again. Now I have to walk from my house. To the back studio in the dark, by myself,

[00:11:18] Marcus: , you didn't, you didn't want to have like a candle or nothing. Come on now you can at least have a candle.

[00:11:23] Anjelah: I had my candles. I'm like white light, all the things, meta, crystal,

[00:11:27] Marcus: Yeah. He shouldn't have been doing that. And it's in your own house too. That's crazy.

[00:11:31] Anjelah: So I was like getting myself all worked up earlier in the day. I'm like, oh my God, it would be by myself. I'm trying to call people and be like, Hey, are you available to come over tonight? Just hang out with me for my bond guys. Nobody could come. So finally I go and I'm sitting there in the studio and I'm by myself. I'm interviewing a guy in Miami and he's telling me about, you know, these two spirit guides that he's had his whole life and he's seen them a woman and a man and I was telling him, I was like, oh, you should meet my friend. He's a psychic medium. His name is AIG butter. And as soon as I start talking about my friend AGA, I hear a whisper in my headphone and I was like, I kept talking for a second and then I stopped.

And I was like, did you just say something? And he's like, no And I'm like, are you sure you didn't say anything? And he was like, I swear, I didn't say anything. . So I was like, I swear, I just heard something and we're on a live to where like people can leave comments.

Right. So I was like, okay, if anybody heard a little whisper, a little something, leave me a comment and tell me if I'm crazy, then the comments start pouring in. And they're like, I totally heard something. I definitely heard it.

So anyways, I get creeped out after that, and then everybody starts confirming it. I'm like, okay. I definitely heard something. So then I finished the broadcast and I have to do the creepy walk back into my house and I'm like, let me know now, just like, let me just hurry up and get to bed. Cause once you get under the covers, it's like safe zone.

[00:12:53] Marcus: know, when you it's actually, it's actually a scientifically proven, um, NASA did a study on blanket covering for, um, ghost, and they said nine out of 10 people who were not possessed had the covers. You know what I'm saying? And I was like, wow. I was like, you know what? That makes a lot of sense. That makes a lot of sense

[00:13:14] Anjelah: can penetrate a blanket.

[00:13:15] Marcus: codes. Can't get through cotton. We all know this. They definitely can't get no duck down goose. If you got a down ghost, you safe. If you get a down goose.

[00:13:26] Anjelah: blankets from the alley, them low

[00:13:28] Marcus: see, listen, that has,

[00:13:30] Anjelah: Virgin Mary

[00:13:31] Marcus: that, that has, that has the spirit in it. The spirit of. So you got to go down the hallway and I go at, go ahead. What happens?

[00:13:39] Anjelah: I'm getting ready to go to bed. And I had texts. Oh my, , my producer sent me. And you could definitely hear, I can't make it out what it's saying, but you can definitely hear a little something happened in my, my microphone and it caught it, it got it. Right. So I was like, Hmm. Okay. So then I text it to my friend. Who's a psychic medium. And I was like, bro, what is happening here? And then I texted to my mom, I texted to my brothers and I was like, yo, this crazy thing happened on The podcast. So then lights are out. I'm in my bed? I'm talking on the phone to my brother and I was like, bro, this crazy thing happened. I'm going to send you a video clip

[00:14:25] Marcus: SI that's cause you got out from under that, under that sheet, you got, it started getting hot. You started, you couldn't breathe. You know, cause you're not. Cause you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You don't send 10, 10 text messages. So, you know, you scared that's 50, that's 15 minutes alone.

So that's 10 text messages and you say, I know now the steam is now you done pulled your face off, off, off the, you know, the blanket. Now your speaker go up.

[00:14:51] Anjelah: I did it to myself. I did it to

[00:14:53] Marcus: cause you didn't look, you didn't read the, you didn't read the NASA report saying that nine out of 10 people who are covered by down blankets are protected from ghosts.

[00:15:03] Anjelah: . I set myself up. So then I go to bed, right? I'm like, forget it This is.

too much. And I'm like, I rebuke You all the things like anything I just rebuke and everything. And then, , and then the next day, and I just go about my day and my, my friend AIG finally calls me back my psychic friends.

And, , I was like, bro, what is happening in this video? So then he's like, okay, I'm going to watch the video and I'll call you back.

So he calls me back and I guess his wife was also in the room with him and she didn't know I sent him the video. He just got a video and he starts playing it. And the wife goes, it sounds like it's saying.

[00:15:37] Marcus: Shut your mouth and

[00:15:41] Anjelah: Whispered my name

[00:15:42] Marcus: know how I know you felt that cause you, you, you sat back a little bit and looked at me for like five.

[00:15:49] Anjelah: right there.

[00:15:51] Marcus: Both dramatic you. Wasn't a video. Tell me what's in the video though.

[00:15:57] Anjelah: So, , he, he basically said that it's a woman's voice and she whispered my name and, , was like, has anybody died recently or is there a death anniversary coming up? And I was like, I had a death anniversary coming up, but it was someone like, , a friend of a friend. , and then my grandma had just passed away a month prior to this.

But when I found out that she passed away, I was in that studio, that recording studio. So I had done all of my, like, processing about my grandma, did my journaling about my grandma. Like all the things. When I found out that she died was happening in that studio. And so he's like, I think it was your grandma trying to reach out to you.

And I was like, well, shoot, I feel bad now because I rebuked her. I was

[00:16:43] Marcus: I know, she just tried to say, what's up. Hey baby. I just wanted to say, get back,

[00:16:51] Marcus: Hey, man, listen, nothing bad happened in this studio right now while I'm talking to you. Cause you sound like you just. Transmitted over airways. , you know, what did you have any dolls?

[00:17:02] Anjelah: yeah, I used to love, love my dolls. never anything creepy happening with my dolls though, but

[00:17:08] Marcus: had a ad of my buddy at a black bar buddy. Yeah. And I almost got, I almost got a kid sister cause I was an only child. So I was just like, you know, I wanted my own family, you

[00:17:22] Anjelah: you know, kids, sister, kids, sister, kids.

[00:17:26] Marcus: Kid

[00:17:26] Anjelah: Their kids is staring at me.

[00:17:30] Marcus: dolls are got kinda creepy. Why you think you think dogs are creepy too?

[00:17:34] Anjelah: yeah, for sure. especially the ones that follow you with their eyes, like where does it matter? What part of the room you're sitting in? It looks like they just followed you and, you're like, bitch, what?

I'll fight you I wish he would.

[00:17:48] Marcus: look at me like that. One more time. I'll kick you off that stand.

So, Hey, you got this dope Netflix special outright now, Not fancy. Like, tell me about like how you came up with all the material and how did like you work that out and stuff?

[00:18:00] Anjelah: Well, my, my not fancy special, , was so much fun because I've always been the tomboy, you know? And, um, I've always embraced that part of me. I'm always in my jeans and pennies and, um, I'm not fancy. And so in that special, I talk a lot about some fancy things that I do as a not fancy person. Like I'm flying first class for my first time overseas. And

[00:18:29] Marcus: what was your, it was your Emirates Emirates.

[00:18:33] Anjelah: I wish

[00:18:34] Marcus: Use all the Townsend or use on spirit.

[00:18:37] Anjelah: just basic Delta, you know, this just dealt with it, but they had like the spaceship seat with all the buttons and stuff on. it. And I was like, listen, I didn't do real good in school. I don't know if I'm educated enough to fly this plane because it looks like You got me, uh, where the pilot's supposed to be sitting. I don't know which button to push is just

[00:18:57] Marcus: just want to leave. You just want to lean back. You didn't want to, you don't want to start the

[00:19:00] Anjelah: can I just relax?

[00:19:02] Marcus: just want to lean back.
